Answers To Common Questions
New to Jiu Jitsu or just curious? Here are quick answers to some of the most common questions we get.
Do I need any experience to start Jiu Jitsu?
Not at all! We welcome complete beginners and offer structured classes that teach you everything from the ground up. Just show up and we’ll guide you every step of the way.
What should I wear to my first class?
For your trial class, wear comfortable athletic clothing like a t-shirt and shorts or leggings. We’ll provide a loaner gi (uniform) if needed.
Can my child try a class before signing up?
Yes! We offer a free trial class so your child can experience Jiu Jitsu in a fun, supportive environment before committing.
How are classes separated by age and skill level?
We group classes by age and experience to ensure each student gets the right instruction and training pace. Kids, teens, beginners, and advanced students all train in separate sessions.
Is Jiu Jitsu safe for kids and beginners?
Absolutely. Safety is our top priority. We maintain a controlled, respectful atmosphere with attentive coaching and techniques designed to protect all students.
How often should I train each week to see progress?
We recommend training 2–3 times per week for steady improvement, but any consistent attendance will help you grow in skill, fitness, and confidence.
